The Home page for Renaissance Analytics gives you a quick overview of student activity in your school or district. Depending on the products that you subscribe to, you may see how many students have taken assessments in the current screening window, how many students are actively practicing in daily practice products, and tips for getting the most out of your Renaissance solutions. You can also choose to explore specific data more or to open your products or reports.
This is the first page you see when you open Renaissance Analytics. You can also return to this page from any Renaissance Analytics dashboard by selecting Home at the top of the dashboard.
District administrators and staff see data for the entire district. School administrators and staff see data for their school(s). Renaissance Analytics is not available to teachers.
Your Data on This Page
Students Assessed
First, if you have Star assessments, you'll see how many students have taken each of those assessments in the current district screening window. To get more information about the data on one of the tiles, select Explore the data to go to the District or School Profile, where you can see more about your students' proficiency and growth.
Active Students
Next, if you use Accelerated Reader, Freckle, Lalilo, and/or myON, you'll see how many students are actively practicing in those products based on what the students have done in each product in the past 28 days:
- Accelerated Reader: Active students have taken at least one quiz.
- Freckle: Active students have completed one or more sessions; each subject is listed separately.
- Lalilo: Active students have completed one or more exercises.
- myON: Active students have opened at least one myON book.
To get more information about one of these, select Explore the data to go to the District or School Profile, where you can see more, such as AR quiz proficiency and quizzes passed, Freckle minutes practiced and accuracy for each subject, Lalilo students who are practicing the recommended time and those who are on track, and myON average minutes read and words read.
News & Tips
Under News & Tips, you will see a few helpful buttons/links to help you get the most out of your Renaissance Solutions. You can click the links to get started with each item, and select Dismiss when you're done. See the example of the type of items you might see below. Note: If you have data for the current school year, the news and tips will be under your data.
Making Renaissance Analytics Your Home Page
You can choose to make the Renaissance Analytics Home page your Home page for all Renaissance software. This means that when you first log in, or when you choose Home anywhere in the software, you'll come back to this page so you can see an overview of your data and useful tips as well as easy access to your apps and reports.
Use the toggle in the top left corner of the page to choose this option; then, to confirm, select Yes, I'll try it! in the window that opens. (If you don't see the toggle, select the > arrow to expand the left section of the page.)
On mobile devices, or in smaller browser windows, select the apps icon at the top of the page, then select the toggle at the top of the popup window and confirm your selection by selecting Yes, I'll try it!.
Opening the Renaissance Next Teacher View
If you would like to see Renaissance Next for Teachers (which is also the Home page for many teachers), in the top left corner of the page, select Teacher under the Renaissance Next logo in the top left section of the page.
On mobile devices or in smaller windows, select the apps icon at the top of the page and chose the Teacher option in the popup window.
For more information, see How Administrators Can Support Teachers Using Renaissance Next.
When you're ready to return to Renaissance Analytics, select the Leader option from within Renaissance Next. (This option is only available to administrators.)
Opening Your Apps and Going to Reports
My Apps
On the left, you'll see a list of the Renaissance apps that you have active subscriptions for. To open one, select the app icon. If you select AR or Star, you'll see more links and apps so you can choose exactly where you'd like to go. The first example below shows the Apps area expanded; if it is collapsed using the < arrow, you'll see the icons as in the second example.
If you are using a tablet or a smaller browser window, select the app icon at the top of the page instead and then select the app. If you select AR or Star, a popup window will show you more links and apps so that you can select what you need.
My Data (Reports)
Select Reports on the left under My Data and choose the product whose reports you want to see; then, choose one of the options under that product.
If you are using a tablet or a smaller browser window, select the app icon at the top of the page instead and then select Reports. Then, in the popup menu, choose one of the options under that product.
